At full price they are cheaper than Lego’s by about 25%. Overall I give the line 3 out of 4 stars. Actually more sturdy than some of the boxes Lego puts there items in. Packaging is nice, it has some good graphics. Final problem with is with the Goblin Shredder itself, the upper torso is very top heavy, and since the waist turns it sometimes has a tendency to spin backwards and stay facing backwards. Another issue is that some of the pieces need a dab of glue to hold in place.

The Goblin Shredder came with three minifigures which is nice, each has some weapons. The Flying machine is nice, just a spinning rotor but still looks nice. The Goblin shredder has spinning claws that actually stay together and don’t fall apart when you spin them. Design and functionality are very nice, Good mobility, nice special features. Two very nice sets, I feel that these are on par with anything put out by Lego. The two we’ll look at are the Goblin Shredder and the Gnome Flying machine, Meijer, Walmart, and Toys R Us are all running various sets at clearance prices. The commands for the robotic arm take this form: Move a ONTO b. Initially there are always 'n' blocks on the table, laid flat and numbered from 0 to n-1.

Now, this series has been out for awhile now, almost two years, but many stores are running them on clearance. In this problem you must parse a series of commands that instruct a robotic arm to manipulate blocks that lie on a flat table. Based on the not-as-popular-but-still-popular online video game, Mega Blocks brought us a series of play sets and vehicles from assorted areas on the realm of the game. It's fun to play with, but not much fun to play.Gonna be taking a look at a line of Mega Blocks today…the WORLD OF WARCRAFT. But it's also held back by its incredibly rudimentary game-like features and block/color/texture limits. There's a fair amount to play with initially, but if anyone wants to go crazy with the building they're going to have to start buying some of the extra content packs.īlocksWorld HD is a very neat creation tool that offers a remarkable amount of possibilities. The amount of available puzzles, blocks, and textures are also limited. pieces attached on the curved side) or anything like that. As I've mentioned they only connect when two flat sides touch so no making fancy cylindrical joints (i.e. It's also not always possible to connect blocks the way one might want to. Being able to create and operate a car is really cool, but when the car handles very poorly it looses a lot of its luster. The problem with having such an open platform is that most of the minor elements don't feel quite right. With enough time and blocks just about anything can be built. Even the programming is a cinch to figure out as it relies on incredibly basic commands. Individual pieces can also be adjusted with simple contextual controls. Like I've said, pieces and textures and such can just be dragged and dropped from the tray on the side. In fact, the puzzle-scenarios that are available alongside the main creation mode are a great way to learn the ropes and earn extra blocks (more on that later). It seems a little overwhelming at first, but BlocksWorld's interface is actually very easy to learn. All of which can be shared directly through the main interface. It's also possible to program basic functions into jets, boosters, wheels, and so on in order to create drivable vehicles or even craft basic games. Blocks link together automatically whenever two flat sides are connected, and adding more shapes, textures, or colors is simply a matter of dragging them out of the toolbar on the right side of the screen. There are three main shapes available (cube, wedge, cylinder) and a fair number of extra bits like wheels and people, but for the most part diversity is dependent on how each piece is stretched and colored. As a game, not so much.īlocksWorld really is building blocks given digital form. As a toybox, it can be really cool to play around in. It provides users/players with a fairly simple set of tools and gives them the opportunity to do just about whatever they'd like. In many ways BlocksWorld HD is the same thing, only digital. They're incredibly basic, but they're also a fantastic and imaginative tool.
